I made a battery with a grapefruit

For the final action project in fuel and for the term, we made 2 batteries to compare which one did better. I made one with lemon juice and gitaur strings, the other a grapefruit with gitaur strings.

Above: my grapefruit and gitaur strings

My hypothesis is that the lemon juice will outperform the grapefruit

For this i will use a grapefruit and lemon juice as electrolytes, and gitaur strings as electrodes

To test this i will stick 2 gitaur strings in my electrolyte, the grapefruit, each of a different metal. I’ll connect this battery to a multimeter to see if it works at all. Afterwards, I’ll do this with a container of lemon juice.

I thought that the grapefruit wouldnt even work, yet to my surprise it far exceeded my expectations on the multi meter.

This is about enough to power under 1/100th of a lightbulb
Next is the lemon juice battery, here’s an image of it

Wow, it did outperform the grapefruit! And by about 30. However, my partner used the same lemon juice with different metals, so what if I also tried different metals to see how much it affects the results?
