wow, this dialog is so cratic.
Recently in the new term as a part of our Forbidden Books class, we went to a bookstore on the north side of the city that was really old. We also learned about the socratic method in class, where ideas are refined via unbiased questioning. This technique is still used today, because it’s very effective. Sometimes the socratic method can be dangerous to a societal order, which is why Socrates himself was sentenced to death after people accused him of corrupting the youth by questioning the gods. As part of the Action Project for this unit of Forbidden Books class, me and a chum engaged in a scripted socratic dialog tackling the open question of what makes a person unique.

Tex: I'm so unique, and special.
Dom: Are you sure??? What makes you so unique??
Tex: I have a very distinct taste in music
Dom: But we listen to the same tunes! How are you different from anyone else in the world?
Tex: Well I'm unique because I only wear sandals!
Dom: What about jesus?
Tex: He was pretty unique.
Dom: If you relate to him then maybe not. Can you walk on water?
Tex: Yes.
Dom: Um idk if I believe you. What is something special about you that no one else around you has?
Tex: I have playlists of songs from 1914-2011]
Dom: That is pretty unique. Hmm, hmm hmm hmm, who have you met that is just like you fr?
Tex: My boy “bbq jamie otis”
Dom: What makes him so similar
Tex: Hair , sandals, food, music, movies
Dom. ok.
