INTO THE MENU

Over the past year, my knowledge of water, fuel, and food has expanded greatly. In water, I learned about how scarce water is in other countries. In fuel, I learned about how energy can conduct through many things. In food, I learned about how plants reproduce and about the green revolution. The green revolution was a period after ww2 where agriculture expanded greatly leading to much less starvations, however it did lead to malnutrition in some places from too much of the same food. For the final AP this year, we had to make menus with a low water footprint, by not using meat in any of the items because meat has a really high water footprint.

I think switching from meat based to seed/nut based is realistic because most dishes that aren’t like 80% meat can still carry their weight if the meat was substituted for a fake meat or with something close to meat.
