nevermind weezer, here’s easter island
For Spanish 2 this term our action project was to create a flash card matching game depicting a spanish speaking city of our own choice. After some consideration (early thoughts were Ushuaia, Argentina and Salamanca, Spain) I picked Easter Island, Chile. I picked it because I thought it’d be interesting to do a place that I knew very little about, other than they had a distinct culture within latin america.
Here are the cards I made:
(i was out of colored ink)
The grammar:
Me voy a poner la ropa.
Voy al colegio pequeño.
Voy a utilizar el dinero.
La estatua está sola
Uso un ordenador en la biblioteca.
El banco contiene mucho dinero.
Todos deben asistir a la iglesia.
Va a trepar una roca.
Va a nadar al lago.
Va caminar cerca de la costa
One thing I learned in this project is that my printer doesn't print small enough for a standard notecard. One thing that was hard was finding an image of a bookstore on easter island, which I eventually gave up on because the library was close enough. An easy thing was making the notecards themselves.
